Website changes, BiSenTech

As you may have noticed, I've been making some major
changes to the website. Now, I admit... it's still not
great... but it's better. I can only take hearing from
youthful techie people on the Left Coast about how I
need to change the site so much! So, at least I've
standardized the font and font sizes, and added a new
section on Economic Development. We've recently added a
partner who is extremely talented when it comes to
working with the EDA, so that will hopefully become a
new area that Javelin will be focusing some of it's
efforts on. So far, I'm 1 for 1 for $3 million
(actually, it's a total of $6.4 million if you include
state and private funds). I think we work very well
with the partners that need to coalesce around a
project in order to make it happen, and it's a funding
route that more organizations should be considering.
In addition to the website changes here, be sure to check out www.BisenTech.com. That's my startup company (with three other partners), working to commercialize some pretty novel sensor technology. We should have our licensing agreement soon, and we have several funding routes available to us now that I'm pleasantly surprised about. As you may have read earlier, we got $25,000 in pre-seed funding to assess the opportunity, and have about a half million in pending SBIR/NRI proposals in the hopper right now. If we're good, however, we might have access to a couple million in private funding to really more this forward. I'll be sure to post more as this develops!
